Infer RxNorm
The Infer RxNorm activity uses the Amazon Comprehend Medical API to infer RxNorm information from a text string.
How it works
The following steps are an example of how the activity works from design time (i.e., the activity dependencies and input/output properties) to run time.
- Complete the Setup steps.
- Add the Amazon Comprehend Scope activity to your project.
- Add the Infer RxNorm activity inside the Amazon Comprehend Scope activity.
- Enter values for the Input properties.
- Create and enter a
StringorStringvariable for the Input property. - Create and enter an
Entity[]variable for the Output property.

Input
- Text - The text to analyze. This field supports only Strings or
Stringvariables.
Output
- InferRxNormResponse - Response object from the InferRxNorm operation. This field supports only
InferRxNormResponsevariables.

- DisplayName - The display name of the activity. This field supports only Strings or
Stringvariables.
Misc
- Private - If selected, the values of variables and arguments are no longer logged at Verbose level.
Output
- ResponseStatus - The status of the request (success/failure information). This field supports only
ResponseStatusvariables (UiPath.BAF.Models.ResponseStatus). TheResponseStatusobject includes three properties that you can use in other activities.- Success -
