Licensing
Semantic selectors reinforce the Unified Target capability, providing resilient and intelligent UI automation through semantic understanding. They are included across all UiPath Platform™ tiers, ensuring you can build stable automations that adapt to UI change.
Semantic selectors can be used in the following ways:
- A fallback targeting method which is automatically triggered when traditional or Computer Vision targeting fails.
- A primary targeting method which is ideal for highly dynamic or unpredictable UIs.
UiPath’s approach to Semantic selector pricing is designed to remove barriers to entry, while allowing flexible scaling, as follows:
- Every customer has immediate access through platform entitlements.
- Large-scale users can flexibly extend capacity through AI or Platform Units.
- Developers can freely experiment in BYOM (Bring your own model) environments.
Semantic selectors licenses and entitlements
Semantic selectors are included by default in all UiPath Platform tiers. Each tier includes a bundled number of Semantic selector runs per month, allowing users to leverage this targeting method at no additional cost.
| Licensing plans | Monthly entitlement |
|---|---|
| Basic | 10,000 runs / month |
| Standard | 25,000 runs / month |
| Enterprise | 100,000 runs / month |
Your chosen entitlement scales automatically with your purchased UiPath Platform tier.
Fallback consumption
When the included monthly allocation is exceeded, Semantic selectors seamlessly fall back to AI Units or Platform Units, depending on your licensing plan.
Fallback consumption ensures continuous automation operation, even in large-scale or high-frequency scenarios.
The following table describes Semantic Selector consumption rates per pricing models:
| Pricing model | Consumption rate |
|---|---|
| Flex Pricing | 20 runs per AI Unit |
| Unified Pricing | 100 runs per Platform Unit |
Using BYOM
Semantic selectors are free to use with BYOM (Bring your own model/subscription).
This approach encourages experimentation and adoption by enabling organizations to integrate and test Semantic selectors with their custom AI deployments without additional consumption costs.
