Resume after Delay

Use Resume after Delay to pause the execution of the process for a specific duration of time, or until a specific date is reached. For example, you can use it to send follow-up emails after a delay or once a deadline has passed.

The Resume after Delay activity corresponds to the Timer Intermediate Catch Event element in BPMN.

Managing the Resume after Delay event​

To pause the execution of the process for a specific duration of time, or until a specific time is reached:

  1. Right-click the Event Placeholder canvas element.
  2. Select Change Type.
  3. Select Resume after Delay.
  4. Configure the activity properties as needed. See more details about the Resume After Delay activity.
