Platform Units and infrastructure costs

Platform Units and infrastructure costs become relevant when performance tests are executed via serverless cloud robots, since each robot run consumes Platform Units provided by UiPath’s cloud infrastructure.

For on-premises robots, Platform Units are not needed, but customers must ensure they provision and maintain enough local machines to handle the required test load, which drives their own infrastructure costs.

For more details on Platform Units in the context of performance testing, refer to the Platform Units consumption topic from the Orchestrator documentation.
